On behalf of ESO (European Southern Observatory), Weatherpark carried out a flow study on the dome of the giant telescope E-ELT (European Extremely Large Telescope) by means of CFD. The E-ELT is is to become the largest optical telescope in the world and go into operation in 2024. With a mirror diameter of 39 meters, it will examine planets and depict distant galaxies in greater detail than ever before.
